Me: Did I ever tell you about that textbook Arashi did?
Dad: Oh yeah, how'd that go?!
Me: (explains the whole shpeel)
Dad: Wow that's freaking smart on the marketing part of it. Kudos to Arashi too.
Me: Yeah, you know that would never work over here. We never have "idols" that everyone likes and everyone loves. Our celebrities fade out within days.
Dad: Oh America. -_-' You know Arashi has so much to them that even older women and even men my age could come to appreciate them. Especially over there.
Me: .. You dont even know HAHA
Dad: See, I knew it. They have something special. And I'm sure there are other celebrities like that in Japan but the endeavors Arashi takes would never fly here because no one likes you that long in America! 
Me: because we're bored, fat, mother effers.
Dad: sad but true. The whole "Dorama" thing is ingenius too. Every episode you're completely satisfied. You're learning more, and not wasting your time investing your interest in these characters. And when it's over, it's over. GIve or take a season for good ones. Whats that one I really liked called?
Me: Hana Yori Dango?
Dad: Damn that was good.
Me: HAHA. I know Dad. I'm so proud of you and what you've learned.
Dad: What can I say... SHIT IS GOOD.
